Taking your roll of Purifas® BodyShield™, pull out one BodyShield and lay it on the therapy bed, aligning the face hole of the BodyShield with the face hole of the therapy bed.
Ensuring the BodyShield does not move, gently mould the overhanging BodyShield fabric around one end of therapy bed and hold in place while you complete the next step.
Take one of the bed hooks and align it horizontally with the pre-cut anchoring hole in the BodyShield. The bed hook should be closer to the end of the BodyShield (as per this image) to ensure it is firmly secured when in use.
All therapy beds have a timber base to support the soft upper part of the bed. For steps 4–7 below, when installing the bed hooks and to protect this soft part of the bed, ensure you use only the screws provided.
Should the markings of the bed hooks (step 4) land on a metal cross brace, you will need to use self-drilling screws (not provided).
Mark the screw holes on the bed using the bed hook as a guide.
Repeat steps 2–4 on the opposite end of the therapy bed.
Pre-drill all four marked-up holes.
Securely attach the bed hooks to the therapy bed using the screws provided.
Taking the two bed bungs (supplied), insert one on each end of the BodyShield roll.
Insert the roll of BodyShields into the dispenser, ensuring the bed bungs slide into their allocated position, and close the dispenser.
Place the Purifas® Dispenser at the foot of the bed or mount it on the wall using the guide provided.
When the BodyShield is in place and secured by the bed hooks, it should be neither too loose nor too tight.

Ensuring top-notch hygiene in therapy and allied health settings is vital for client safety. Shared equipment can easily lead to cross-contamination without strict hygiene protocols. Towels, frequently used in these environments, can harbour bacteria even after washing, posing risks to both clients and therapists. This guide will help you understand these risks, avoid common mistakes and implement the best hygiene practices, all while being environmentally conscious.
